About the Artist
Born and raised in Santa Cruz, California, 27 year old artist Sabrina Elle Aramburu is best known for her drawings and paintings inspired by nature, surf spots, and coastal landscapes around the world. She was born into a supportive, artistic family who live and breathe the ocean lifestyle. Her earliest memories and dreams formed while exploring beach coves, banyan trees and playing in the sand and surf. As a young artist, her first drawings were a collection of mermaids, waves, palm trees, and plumerias. By highschool, Sabrina started painting on her friend's surfboards, and drawing scenes of her favorite surf destinations as memories and gifts for her friends and family. While working towards her BA in Visual Communications Design from San Francisco State University, she started her small business Studio Sea Design and began to sell illustrated tiny cards and art prints to local boutiques and surf shops. The business name came from her initials S.E.A., and her favorite little studio by the beach that she was living in at the time. Her local beach scenes quickly became a favorite request from friends and family and have evolved into a staple of the Studio Sea art collection today. After graduating and trotting the globe, she moved back to Santa Cruz and has recently opened an art studio on the west side, where she has been working on new art collections, large scale canvas art, custom commissions, hand drawn logos and design, jewelry, and ceramic designs.
"I am forever grateful and appreciative for the continued inspiration and support of my customers, teachers, fellow artists, friends, and family. I would not be where I am today without you all, you're the heart of my art."
